What’s the right gift for me, now?

Our Center for Personalized Philanthropy can show you how every gift matters

Alan A. Fischer, founder and managing partner of Fischer & Company and former Chairman of the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science, reflects on the benefits of the IRA charitable rollover and his beneficiary designation for the Weizmann Institute:

The American Committee’s Center for Personalized Philanthropy offers a full-spectrum, donor-focused approach to personalized philanthropy that is no less bold than the Institute’s approach to science. Combine gifts that favor both you and Weizmann and create a valuable philanthropic legacy for generations to come. We'll show you how every gift can matter and help you move closer to your goal: the right gift, for the right donor, for the right purpose — so your impact and recognition can begin right now.

Bequests and Beneficiary Designations

  1. Remembering Weizmann in your will: A great way to amplify your support. See the suggested wording below.

  2. Use a retirement plan: Name Weizmann on the beneficiary designation form supplied by the trustee or custodian of your IRA, 401K, or other retirement plan.
  3. Special Note: The IRA Charitable Rollover has been restored.
Donors over 70½ may once again make direct lifetime gifts to Weizmann.

  4. Use life insurance: Name Weizmann on the beneficiary form provided by your insurance professional.
  5. Use a bank or brokerage account: Title or re-title a bank account as POD (payable on death) or a brokerage account or stock certificate as TOD (transfer on death) to Weizmann. Seek advice from your own legal advisors before completing any gifts.

“Many of the gifts with the greatest philanthropic imact are still the simplest.”
- Alan A. Fischer
