Gift Processing Associate

Summary of Position:

The Gift Processing Associate provides high level gift processing support to the Finance team. Responsible for the day to day entry of gifts into Raiser’s Edge database, processing contributions received by ACWIS  with additional processing of donor information.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
    • Process all gifts received, entering the information into Raiser’s Edge.
    • Manage and update donor database software (Raiser’s Edge).
    • Create donor account file for all new donors.
    • Update donor records when notice of change has occurred. Liaise with Regional and HQ staff to clarify or obtain donor information.
    • Reconcile daily cash logs and batch reports to bank deposits. Ensure deposits are credited on a timely basis.
    • Generate correspondence, reminders, acknowledgements, support documentation to donors according to IRS regulations and mailings from donor database as required.
    • Assign event codes for programs, mailings and revenue functions.
    • Assist Finance staff on projects and reports relating to contributions.

 

Skills and Abilities Required:
    • Minimum 2 years comparable work experience.
    • Experience and knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge/NXT software a must.
    • Strong computer skills, including experience in all MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
    • Excellent written, oral communication and proofreading skills.
    • Grammatical & numerical accuracy essential.
    • Exercises sound judgment and acts independently when necessary.
    • Ability to adjust and be flexible in meeting changing priorities, work needs, and demands.
    • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate efficient time management skills. Ability to prioritize workload.
    • Organized with attention to detail, with strong follow-through ability and pro-active initiative.
    • Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills; articulate and comfortable dealing with staff and with donors at all levels.
    • Energetic and resourceful team player.
