IT Support Manager

Summary of Position

The IT Support Manager is responsible for the overall computer and IT operations of ACWIS users and project management. This includes managing the internal helpdesk services by providing initial end-user support while routing specialty needs to internal and external support services as needed. The IT Support Manager ensures that all ACWIS computer hardware and software are kept up to date and running smoothly. The IT Support Manager will manage the video conferencing system for the in-house conference room(s) and for remote video conference participants. This position will also include project management.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

    • Manage internal helpdesk system to provide courteous first-level contact and problem resolution for ACWIS users with operating system, hardware, video, voice and telecommunication software and applications problems. Escalate issues as appropriate.
    • Set up new and replacement computers.
    • Manage video conferencing systems.
    • Review and update IT documentation.
    • Suggest and implement replacement and corrective action to/for current systems.
    • Ensure proper record disposal of obsolete equipment and update inventory records accordingly.
    • Train end-users on all critical systems applications.
    • Assist in the evaluation of new products and services.
    • Assist with new system roll outs and specialized projects.
    • Maintain computer room to ensure all equipment is labeled and easy to identify.
    • Provide extended hours for network, systems, and user support.
    • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, iOS and iPadOS
    • Working knowledge of personal computing hardware, include PCs, phones, printers, and peripherals.
    • Routers and firewall skills 
    • Experience with Office 365, Anti-Virus, and video conferencing.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with internal and external stakeholders across all departments.
    • Passion for teamwork, continuing education, problem solving and exceptional customer service
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
    • In-depth knowledge of IT standards, concepts, best practices, and procedures based on knowledge, experience, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
    • Demonstrate ability to take initiative & manage and prioritize multiple tasks in an ever-changing environment
    • Strong Analytical skills

Preferred Additional Certificates/Skills:

    • CompTIA A+ certification
    • CompTIA Network+ certification
    • Raiser’s Edge experience

Physical Demands:

Capable of picking-up and moving computer hardware equipment, tools and supplies that weigh up to 25 pounds.
