In “A Model for Life,” Institute founder, namesake, and chemist Prof. Chaim Weizmann envisions the facility’s collaborative future. A single father – a biochemist – and a mathematician happen to meet on one of the campus’s broad lawns, and begin talking about their research. They develop a collaboration, a friendship, and more – while Prof. Weizmann “watches” the results of his chemical mixing.

Chemistry at the Weizmann Institute takes many forms! And proximity fosters collaboration, which leads to new ways of thinking … and, frequently, scientific success.
