Watch highlights from the 2009 Gala of the Midwest Region of the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science. Held in Chicago and honoring Jerry Reinsdorf, an owner of the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox, and Rocky Wirtz, an owner of the Chicago Blackhawks, the evening included an overview of the Weizmann Institute’s discoveries, Prof. Ada Yonath’s recent winning of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, and numerous speakers, including legendary anchorman Bill Kurtis and American Committee CEO Marshall S. Levin.

In addition to a Q&A with Mr. Reinsdorf and Mr. Wirtz about their philanthropy, there was live music, dancing, and an auction for items such as jerseys from the honorees' sports teams.
