On October 18, 2023, Prof. Alon Chen, President of the Weizmann Institute of Science, and Prof. Roee Ozeri, VP for Development and Communications, hosted a special Zoom meeting to share an update with the global Weizmann community.
With attendees from Los Angeles to London, Toronto to Tel Aviv, Sydney to São Paulo, Prof. Chen offered his gratitude for the unwavering support, friendship, and solidarity shown to both Israel and the Weizmann Institute following the horrific events that befell Israel on October 7.
Despite these challenging times, Prof. Chen assured the audience that the high-quality, innovative science at the Institute is continuing. He also shared an excerpt from a letter to the international scientific community expressing management’s opinion and asking for support.
